Notarial Services
The Australian Consulate-General in Geneva can provide some notarial services. The Australian Embassy in Bern does not provide notarial services. Our office provides in-person notarial services by appointment only. Walk-ins will not be accepted.
For DFAT to assist you the document must be Australian or a foreign document for use in Australia. Before you request our notarial services, ask the receiving authority in Australia what they need from you. In many cases, you won't need our services and can find someone else locally to assist you (i.e. Swiss notary public) or seek legal advice.
We recommend visiting Smartraveller - Notarial services (legalising documents) overseas for detailed information on the notarial services we can provide overseas.
